Established five years ago with a thrust on VLSI design and an embedded system, TBI-BITS has incubated 9 ventures of which 2 have graduated successfully. All the current incubatees have also successfully developed their products through virtual incubation. TBI-BITS incubatees have also created 127 jobs and generated revenues exceeding Rs 1 cr (Rupees 10 million).

TBI-BITS is affiliated with The Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), located in the Vidya Vihar campus adjacent to the town of Pilani in Rajasthan. Over the years, BITS has provided the highest quality technical education to students from all over India admitted on the basis of merit. Its graduates can be found throughout the world in all areas of engineering, science and commerce. BITS symbolize the maturing of Indian technical ability and "can-do" entrepreneurial spirit, especially as derived from the private sector.

TBI-BITS has received media coverage as a leading Incubator in the country.  TBI-BITS hold conventions and Tech Bazaar events frequently that result in display of innovative ideas at concept/ proof of concept or prototype stage. In the convention, leading institutes participate and display their ideas. Idea holders are then invited to avail TBI support to some of selected ideas in the convention.
