Dr. Usha Dixit is a Doctorate in Biotechnology from Central Food Technology Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore. She has also worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and as a CSIR- Research Associate at ITRC, Lucknow.

She has over 28 publications in reputed national/international scientific journals along with contribution of chapters in different published books and 3 no.s of Patents to her credit. Dr. Dixit is also an active member of editorial board of select scientific journals .

Dr. Dixit has over 14 years work experience in academic, research and management of new scientific programmes of different domains at Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India on - Technology Interventions for Elderly-TIE, Technology based programme for Navodaya Vidyalyas, Programme for Arid and Semi-Arid Regions (CP-ASAR) and Cold Desert Regions (CP-CODER ) and Programmes towards promotion of Technology Incubation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in the country such as Technology Business Incubators(TBIs), Centre of Excellence (CoE), Training Programmes in Entrepreneurship, NIDHI-Entrepreneurship-in-Residence (NIDHI-EIR) , etc. She is also engaged in developing and designing programme for Public Private Partnership (PPP) of the Department. Internationally, she has been involved in promotion of entrepreneurship and incubation activities in association with the Swissnex-Switzerland, Russia and the InfoDev-World Bank.
